I DON'T TAKE OVER PEOPLES PROPERTY: "Gov. Ambode fires back at Lagos Youth Official".

I

t was a showdown session yesterday the 12th of July 2016 at the 2nd quarter town hall meeting with the Executive Governor of Lagos State. Organized by the Lagos State Government at Muslim praying ground of Badagry Local Government.

The second session of the meeting which was specifically dedicated to the Youths and the Physically Challenged brought about enthusiasm inside the cubicle hall when a representative of the Council of Youths in Lagos State challenged Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode with 3 controversial questions that made His Excellency in a fatherly and no-nonsense manner shot back at the youth.

It was revealed by the council information unit that the speaker questioned Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode on why he was yet to hands off the management of the Lagos State Youth House built by and handed over to the youths by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, following several correspondence via the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, which its verbal response from a meeting held with the HC proofs that, it is only the Executive Governor of Lagos State that can order the absolute give back of the house to the youths.

The questioner further goes to ask the Governor on why His government is yet to adopt "Communal Project as a tool of engaging the youths". While the third and last question from the questioner was the one that actually flare up Gov. Ambode's temper as His Excellency was asked to define and distinguish between " Youth Development and Social Development", like a school boy, giving his reasons to be absolute concentration of the Lagos State Government on social development through the ministry of youths while there's nothing to show for youth development.

In response to the multiple questions that took the Governor up from His seat, firstly he said " I have never been notify of your house or the property being confiscated by the government. I don't take peoples house and I am not also notified I need to lift a hold up on any property belonging to Lagos State Youths.

Secondly, the Governor said "we will take a quick look into the idea and more so not hesitate to consider any positive means the Lagos youths can be meaningfully engage, especially with government facilities within their various communities.

Thirdly, the Lagos State Governor was forced to blowout, facing the listening audience
", imagine Wale Smart! asking me to define and distinguish, can you imagine". Well, at this point, I think I will need to call on the Youth Commissioner to shed more light on the said questions for us to be safer, the Governor said.

While handing over to the Youth Commissioner, the Governor express his delight towards how the youths has coordinated themselves so far at the town hall meeting and the humble manner they have constructively put their questions together without insults.
Conclusively, the meeting which was well attended by the youths of Lagos State, with majority from the local governments under Lagos West Senatorial District and members of the Lagos Youth Executive Council led by the Vice Chairman, Lagos West Senatorial District (Com. Gbenga Ogunshola) the council Treasurer (Com. Bukunmi Akinbehinje), Wale Smart and others.
